I am interested in getting people's take on Web Services security. What do you expect from Java in this area? What do you see as being different in your requirements for web services security from those other security models such as that in J2EE? Thanks, John Harby JCP Member JSR 155 Expert Group
It may be a good idea to derive some of the better links for job information since this topic is pretty dynamic. John Harby JCP Member JSR 155 Expert Group
There is another resource with Orion. The #java channel on IRC usually has some knowledgable people who answer Orion questions. From time to time the people who actually wrote Orion will join the channel. If you don't know about IRC, go to IRC help
It looks like someone has filed a bug on this lack of documentation issue for JDK 1.4. You might want to add 1.3 to it. Bug Id 4493869 John Harby JCP Member JSR 155 Expert Group
I have heard it is also a good idea to write a cover letter and do a follow-up call (at least for the jobs which you are strongly qualified). John Harby JCP Member JSR 155 Expert Group
I think you can learn alot from preparing for the test and taking it. Unfortunately since many people are certified, I won't guarantee that it will give you a job. John Harby JCP Member JSR 155 Expert Group
I don't know if you can call this just an API or not but I attended a workshop Friday at PARC Xerox on AspectJ. It looks really cool and can make some serious improvements to just about any application. It is also open source and publically licensed. The site for it is AspectJ
