I am starting to design my system for part 2. I have a question about the scope of the project. Is it OK to extend the business scope of the project beyond the given use cases in order to support my assumptions? These assumptions in turn support some or all of the given use cases.

Hi,

I have exactly the same question. The marketplace assignment I received says I am an architect for a company that needs to integrate with an auctioning market place. The use case includes buying, bidding. If the market place is an existing (public) system, I wouldn't expect to design the buying/bidding functionality for it. I should only care for integrating my system with the market place. But since majority of the use case talks about market place functionality, I am going to include it in my design. I hope I am on the right path. Can anyone please provide some scope guidance in this regard?

I passed part 1 of the SCEA/OCMJEA exam on Aug 20th. I scored 76%. Although I joined this forum quite late, I found that the discussions and links to study material provided here were very useful. As anyone who has taken the test would agree, the test is more about thinking and applying your knowledge than just choosing the right answer from studying by rote. I will soon start on part 2 and will definitely seek this forum's help regarding any questions I have.

Thanks for the response! I understand that the scope of the exam is vast and a few practice tests cannot define how one would fare in the real test. But knowing that a practice test is a good simulation of the actual test in terms of look and feel and difficulty level helps to know where one stands and gives some level of confidence boost!

I will take the other 2 practice tests this weekend.

Hello All,

I am a new member of this forum. I am planning to take the SCEA certification part 1 exam on 20th August. I received the Pearson View free practice tests when I registered for the exam. I have taken one of the tests. (I will able to take the practice test thrice and I am hoping to see different questions each time). I wanted to know has anyone else taken these tests before appearing for the exam? How do the questions compare to the real exam? I scored 83% in the first test. Unfortunately I could not review all the answers and the test timed out.

Anyone who can share their experience? I would like to see if I can use this test to bench mark my level of readiness for the real exam!
