Java / J2EE Developer - Washington, DC

This is a new position. We need a hard core Java / J2EE Development candidate with active Poly Security Clearance. We can look at candidates that have a Bachelor's degree or with no degree but over 10 years experience.

Description:

The candidate will be the company's authority in performing system and subsystem definition, preliminary design and design implementation. The candidate will be expected to work with both the customer and a team within the client's company. The candidate must also have an active Full Scope Poly Security Clearance prior to being submitted.

Must be an open minded individual that works well with others even when personal ideas are conflicting when they are for the best outcome of the company and company's clients.

Must be passionate about online collaboration and have self motivated personality. The ability to work in a fast paced environment and inspire others is key.

Candidate must participate in software requirement reviews, preliminary
design, integration and readiness review, and software acceptance review.

Responsibilities:

Researches, designs, and develops critical and complex computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development, for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific applications, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Analyzes critical software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

Involvement in business development includes briefing customers on company capabilities.

Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.

Formulates and designs software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.

As a company authority consults with customer concerning maintenance of software system.

Provides support for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and operations of computer systems hardware, software and networks within assigned customer work stations and facilities.

Contributes technical material to selected proposals and reports to substantiate and secure program funding.

Acts as senior technical lead for pre-proposal, proposal, and existing program efforts.

Identifies creative solutions to improve system and product offerings.

Reviews test plans and define / develop test benches for software libraries.

Integrates externally developed code into core libraries.

Works with engineering and management team to collectively meet market requirements.

Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordinated activity across organizational lines.

Documents and reviews engineering work as input for company collateral and patent requirements.

Collaborates with technical writers to create customer-relevant documentation.

Coordinates with project work teams to ensure adherence to policies, achievement of quality targets and delivery on schedule milestones.

Supports program management office in technical role.

Represents the organization as a prime customer contact on contracts or projects.

Provides advice and guidance to less experienced staff.


Required Experience:

Must have experience in an agile development environment and have the flexibility to adapt to a dynamic iterative environment.
Must have experience integrating applications within the Windows desktop operating systems and various versions of Internet Explorer and other browsers.
Must have demonstrated technical writing skills and must have generated at least four documents in support of SW development.
Must have a minimum of four years using core Java with Windows within an enterprise environment.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of software integration experience.
Must have proven track record of producing quality code within time constraints.

The primary responsibility of Support Analyst is to ensure the availability of an application or product for end users. The Support Analyst applies functional knowledge and technical expertise in the implementation of configuration changes and maintenance of software applications.

Basic Qualifications:


• 2 year degree

Preferred Qualifications:
