Hello,
i am studying toward the OCA and have used the SCJA book and I am now practicing with Whizlabs online sample questions. I find the questions on Whizlabs quite hard and a lot of it was not in the SCJA book.
My background is electrical and electronic engineering but i want to get into software so i have been studying the SCJA for the last few months. I am beginning to think i need a much greater understanding of computer science than what the scja book give me.
any advice on other books that would supplement the scja well and are the whizlabs questions known to be particularly hard?

Hello,

I know this is a repost but i am afraid i have had no luck following the advice i have seen on other posts. For some reason, i cant seem to be able to find the SCJA on the prometric website or on oracle website(i know, sounds rediculous).
the closest i get on prometric is selecting sun microsystems but after that i see nothing. All i can find on Oracle website is the OCA exam. i assume this is the same thing?

any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Jan. Congratulations. I am planning on sitting the SCJA soon. My only problem is... i cant seem to find the SCJA on prometric website or on oracle website. I may be losing my mind but can you tell me how you booked yours?
The easy part was studying for the exam but booking it seems beyond my capabilities!!

thanks,
