Hello Ric,

Do you have a (simple) mental model to order and address security aspects and penetration testing approaches.

Best regards,

Good morning all,

Thank you Paul for this week and Javaranch for hosting the promo.

I'm excited I won.

Have a nice week end,

Yvette
Hello Paul,

On a lighter note but potentially for more serious afterthoughts...

Would it be feasible to think of a feature to:
1.) assign a (monetary) value for each type of issue Codacy can find
2.) display the value, why not as a pile of money ;)
3.) show how much the value has de/in-creased with every n commits.

Kind regards,

Hello Paul,

Can Codacy distinguish architectural solutions as well e.g. monoliths from micro-services and what kind of advice does it give in case it does?

Kind regards,
Hello Paul,

In my team we have colleagues of various skill levels, through pair programming and other techniques we try to gradually raise the bar.

This means sometimes that the introduction of a new technology or tool might be gentle at first without using all of its possibilities or features...

I'm wondering if Codacy allows for gentle entry level configuration that can be tuned-up as people get used to it and can handle the more complex features.

Thank you, kind regards,
Hello Paul,

It does thanks. I have another question in mind for which I'll open another topic.

See you in the other topic ;)
Good morning Paul,

I didn't take the time yet to go through the Codacy pages, sorry ;)

Since for me code review is something with a very intensive human factor, I was wondering how Codacy contributes or enables to this process.

Thank you, kind regards,
Bummers! I didn't

Congratulations and thanks for this interesting promo.

Have a good week end

Good evening,

Can you give a sneak preview of the test smells by elaborating the topic for the ranchers?

We won't tell

I'm curious to know more about them.

Kind regards,

Good evening all,

I was wondering why did you explicitly brand the book as Java 8?

Is this really the case and don't you think it might scare off people working with < Java 8
or with other languages...

Kind regards,

Good morning all,

I've read your excellent glorious first book on Pragmatic Unit Testing and I was wondering:
1.) what new things your new book will bring?
2.) have some things become obsolete?

Kind regards,

Antoinette

Dear Fernando,

In a software development team how would you organise
the collaboration of front-end developers with the rest of
the team (i.e. back-end developers, dba's, etc.)?

Thank you,
Hi,

What are the main differences between SPAs and old school MVC applications?

By differences I mean all the whole spectrum of software development, skills, technologies, testing...

Thank you,
