Using "get" to pass information sends the information appended to the request for the processing page. It tends to be simpler and you can troubleshoot any problems simply by looking at the address bar in your browser since all values passed are displayed there. This is also the primary weakness of this method. The data being passed is visible and is limited in size to the maximum length of a request string.
Using "post" to pass information sends the information embedded in a header during the request for the processing page. It's main advantage is that you can send larger amounts of information. It also doesn't make that information visible in the address bar of the browser which is nice if you are using the "hidden" input type. The value of this type is still readily available to the user by using view source, but the average user won't see it or be confused by any information you may need to pass from your form for processing.

Its a way to forward request to another JSP or Servlet.. It is mostly used in the Despatcher model (N-tier) of the JSP.. The basic moto behind redirection is to separate the business logic from the presentation and include as less java code as possble in the presnetation layer.

Ram Thanks.
The two architectures Page-Centric and Despacher(N - Tier) are there for JSP.Under the page cetric approach we have page-view and page-view with bean architectures. I am confused regrading the page-view with bean architecture and the MVC model we normally use in implementation.. Is it so that they are just two approaches to separate the business logic from the data presentation???
How does the MVC model differ from Page View With Bean of JSP??
What is the error message you are getting??
I know it works on NT and Windows 2000, I mean all the Server Versions of Microsoft product. But you need to go through the installation manula of J2EE to make sure that it works on Win 98...
Please describe the error message in detail.. Or try doing the deployment once again..(it may work)
