Hi Bill,

William Brogden wrote:Are we talking about Tomcat installed as a service or as an application?

Exactly how are you trying to start Tomcat?

Bill

I have installed tmomcat 7.0 by using windows service installer ,I am going to the shortcut monitor tomcat from start menu, when i click over that a tomcat's properties window opens. There i
try to start the server but after processing it doesn't start.

I have tried tomcat 6.0 set the C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_02\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll file as Java Virtual Machine. Now its working, earlier i was using tomcat 7.0 and my operating
system was windows 7.

Hi Friends,
How to unload the servlet explicitly? There is no way to call destroy method from a servlet code.
Whenever i change the servlet code ,i have to close and start the server again to check the output instantly.
Thanks to all for helping me out to solve the previous problems !

Anyone can help me out...
Sorry! But i have already tried to find the answers on internet but could not get clear idea on calling of stored procedure from a java code. So, i thought to post the foolish question.
Dear friends,

I wanted to know that can we call procedures of oracle 10g from a Java code.
If yes, kindly provide the code.I also wanted to know how from a java code
we can connect to an oracle 10g database.Provide me an instance.
Eagerly waiting for your answers.

Servlet API is not included in JDK ,I did it by installing tomcat and by then added path C:\Program Files\Java\Tomcat 7.0\lib\servlet-api.jar to the classpath environment variable.
