Hi Friends,

Please tell me if you have any idea on creating a pop up window in JSF by using primefaces.

Tim Holloway wrote:Actually, the JSF redirect is more commonly used precisely because it shows the "real" URL in the user's browser.

Hiding the URL wouldn't make things more secure anyway. The only real security you can get on URLs is if the URLs are themselves secured. For example, using URL/role pairing rules in web.xml. The JSF redirect actually makes that feature work better, since without it, the URL used to access a resource might not be the secured URL.

Thanks Tim, Your answer makes sense.

Which way you follow for a redirection ? do you configure them faces-config.xml file or any other ?

Dear Friends,

I have used ' action="two.xhtml?faces-redirect=true" ' to redirect from one.xhtml page to another two.xhtml page upon clicking on a command button.

Now in the URL i can see the two.xhtml.

My doubt is will there be a security problem if we showed up our redirected pages to the user in the URL ?

Hi friends,

Requirement:- I have a field called Phone number which is optional. And i have to allow only the numbers and ' - ' (hyphen) symbol.
Method I followed:- <f:validateRegex pattern="^[0-9]+[- ]?[0-9]+"></f:validateRegex>

Issue:- The field is optional so the value is empty still it will go for check against regular expression and show error message.

Please tell me a solution friends.

Thank you.

Hi friends,

When i put my ' <p:panelGrid> ' code in Accordion Panel it's not working.
But it's working for panel. And my panelGrid contains <p:row>, <p:column> etc.. which are not working inside the panel.

Please let me know if you have any solution or reference.

Hi Friends,

There is a class named with 'Column' in prime faces api.

Have any body used any methods like 'getWidth()', 'setWidth()' to customize the columns ?

Please let me know if you have any examples for the same.

Hi Friends,

I have a requirement in my JSF based project, i.e., select one record from a datatable by using the below line of code in xhtml page.

<p:column selectionMode="multiple"/>
<p:column>1<p:column>
<p:column>2</p:column>....so on...

After selection --> click on 'save' -->data saved.

But when I try to open the same page again, i am getting previous selected records in selection mode.

So how to get them in unselect mode....?

Please let me know if you have any solution or reference.

Thanks,

Hi Friends,
I need to implement a data table by using primefaces.
The table should not contain any data initially and some empty rows should be there.
And the rows are able to edit and save.

Thank you,
