hi,

please try to test your ear file with a help of weblogic.appc tool:
java -classpath weblogic.jar weblogic.appc myApplication.ear

it will show you any errors/problems/missing descriptors etc.

hi,

ejbs cannot find javac - you need to put tools.jar in your classpath
please notice: ejbs has its own "classpath" parameter

starting from wls 8.1 you can use weblogic.appc tool to validate your app.

hi,

if you are sure that your app is DEPLOYED (and not copied only), check config.xml. However, if you aren't sure, just put .war file into the mydomain/applications.
Depends on the startup mode it will be automatically deployed or not.

Roughly:
1. Put the init-param into the web.xml:
<servlet>
<servlet-name>...
<servlet-class>...
<init-param>
<param-name>paramName</param-name>
<param-value>paramValue</param-value>
</init-param>
</servlet>
2. Somewhere in your servlet ask for the param-value i.e.:
public void init() throws...
{
String myParamValue =
getServletConfig().getInitParameter("paramName");
// do something with myParamValue...
}

<location>your_favorite_404_page.htm</location>
</error-page>
