Salaam all!

hi everyone, how to design an MDI in Jfram? I am having a problem that when I close a window the main application closes.
I have designed a jframe having three jbuttons so I want to achieve a functionality that when I will click a button a new fram should be opened on that existing one and when I will close it ( whether by clicking the close jButton or [X] on the fram) that window should be closed not the whole app.

how to do that???

What is this pack() method for?

Here is what I want to perform
On the first page of my application I have a login, create new account, change password buttons with two text boxes(user name and password). By clicking each of the button a new window(jfram) should open with a specific task. for example on Clicking the login button(with username and password filled) a new jfram should be opened.

Hello everyone!

My code is running successfully now so I want to share what I did.

I have converted the password into Strings and then did a comparison.
I did like this

String password= new String(Password.getPassword());
String password2= new String(Password2.getPassword());
If(!(password.equals(password2))
{
.......
}

and it works

Thank you All.

You have to pass parentComponent value which in your code is null.

Is that really the problem? I mean solution?

It's java, I have created a login form in Jfram and want to do a comparison of password and retype password fields. The form should only be submitted if both the fields match
