Hi Guys,
By default JRadioButtons are not selected, but when I select one radio button, and then press the clear button, they DONT come back to that formal status. I've searched through all the methods for RadioGroup but was unsuccessful in finding a solution to this problem (deselecting all the JRadioButtons) does anyone have a suggestion.

I'm getting a java.sql.SQLException in the Bussiness Component Project Wizard. I made the connection using "Oracle JDBC Thin" and the connection works fine, then I click next to give the package name and when I click next again, I get the java.sql.SQLException runtime error and I don't see the user scott for which I created and tested the connection in the schema combo box of the next page in the "Buss Comp. Proj. WIZARD" wizard nor do I see any tables.
I also tried it with jdk1.3 support and it didn't work. jdk1.3 was installed succefully in jdeveloper because you can see in the about dialog box.
can someone please shed some light here. Whats weirder is that I'm following the same exampe in chapter 1 of the JDeveloper3 Handbook and thats about 40 dolloars down the drain.
My OS is Windows2000 server, I'm using JDeveloper 3.2 with oracle 9i

I'm actually reading a ref. book by marty hall. I still don't know were to define the parameter ?
Could you be more specific please.
Is it possible to embed the parameter definition, instead of create a text item and etc...

How come
<%= request.getParameter("testParam") %>
always return null, this is my code:
<H2>JSP Expressions</H2>
<LI>Current time: <%= new java.util.Date() %>
<LI>Your hostname: <%= request.getRemoteHost() %>
<LI>Your session ID: <%= session.getId() %>
<LI>The <CODE>testParam</CODE> form parameter:
<%= request.getParameter("testParam") %>

It's now working for me.
I went to the directory where the .java files were stored and at the dos prompt typed "javac *.java" and it worked!!!

Howdy again,
My OS is "Windows 2000 Server"
1- I have a package called "coreservlets"
2- I have two classes in the package, one is called "ServletUtilites" and the other is "HelloWWW3"
3- "HellowWW3" which is using "ServletUtilites" class, isn't compiling because it's not recognizing the "ServletUtilities" which is in the same package
4- the error that I get is.
C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes\coreservlets\HelloWWW3.java:13: cannot resolve symbol
symbol : class ServletUtilities
location: package coreservlets
out.println(coreservlets.ServletUtilities.headWithTitle("Hello WWW") +
1 error
I've set the classpath "%classpath%;.;C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4\common\lib\servlet.jar"
so why isn't HelloWWW3 compiling.

if I set the classpath variable and restart my machine it works, so I don't have change the location of the servlet.jar file.
But thanks, becuase without this advice I wouldn't have thought of restarting the computer.

I ran the tomcat and also executed the Servlet and JSP examples succesfully
But I can't compile my HelloWorld.java class which uses servlet technology.
My OS is 2000 server.
but I get compile errors telling me packages of javax.servlet not recognized and etc... . Am I missing out on something.

1- I'm using tomcat 1.4.0 and My OS is 2000 server
2- I put the file in "C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes\"
3- I've set the classpath as ".;C:\jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4\common\lib\servlet.jar"

It works,
I've got tomcat now and Servlets and JSPs are working.
I turned off the IIS service then I shut down and restarted tomcat.
and yes, your right, the dialog box (that asked for password and username) isn't related.
thanks to all.

Result is :
I'm getting page cannot be displayed.
Okay, these are the steps
1- unzipped tomcat to the C:/ drive so that the folder of the "conf"
looks like C:/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4/conf
2- set the PATH variable to C:/j2sdk1.4.0_01/bin and when I did "java -version" in the dos prompt it also worked as 1.4 etc...
3- created and set the JAVA_HOME = c:/j2sdk1.4.0_01
4- Turned on Servlet Reloading by adding <DefaultContext reloadable="true"/>
to the end of the paragraph specified in java Boutique.com and in other web sites.

5- double clicked on C:/jakarta-tomcat-4.0.4/bin/startup.bat
6- typed http://localhost:80/
then I get page cannot be displayed

when I run start tomcat and then type
"http://localhost:8080/" I get Error 401 (Unautherized is displayed), why ??
I have a windows 2000 server O.S. and am loged in as administrator.
note: that I went to the links specified her to set up tomcat (java_home and etc.)
Is it me, or is there somethin' missin'
