That's my main question. I currently am a Registered Respiratory Therapist. However, I LOVE programming. I took a class in college for my Chemical Engineering and have dealt with PHP quite a bit running a BBRPG for almost 4 years. No formal training, no certifications (yet). I am considering going to WGU for Software Development. I want to work from home most of the time and maybe travel every now and then. I have a farm and want to be able to stay at home most of the time and work as an RRT one to two days a week. I am able to learn independently easily for the most part.
Are there many entry level jobs available remotely any more? If so, which language would be the best to focus on? I would definitely be interested in mobile development but I have used Unreal Engine some and have enjoyed game design, as well... so many choices!
Assistance is greatly appreciated!
