Thanks!
Your explanation was excellent. But I would still appreciate some sample code if possible.
Thanks in advance

Hi folks,
I like to move a rectangle (created by drawRect). Is it possible to move this rectangle around with a mouse press? Like drag n drop..

If the above is possible, can someone post a reference to it?
Thanks in advance

I would recommend to focus on EJB, web component, and transaction. As you can see, I did poorly on WSAD and WAS part. But yet, I passed.
good luck folks.
The first time I took the exam I got 55% also. That was a bad memory. As for the study material for WSAD,.. well there isn't any good detailed reading materials. Most of the reading I found are too easy. The exam askes some very detailed question about WSAD and WAS. The only way to prepare for them is to develop and deploy not only EJB, but also web components, and clients. Make sure you know the functionality of each little button or check box of the WSAD/WAS window. I didn't do well in WSAD/WAS part either.. those questions were tought and picky.
Here is my score by section
1. enterprise components: 87% (15%)
2. Servlets JSP: 90% (19%)
3. Clients: 25% (8%)
4. database connectivity 100% (4%)
5. EJB transactions: 50% (11%)
6. WSAD: 37% (15%)
7. Assemble & Deploy 85% (13%)
8. WS tools to validate aspects 37% (15%) (62% last time.. humm)

here is the study link
http://www7b.boulder.ibm.com/wsdd/library/presents/AE_SkillTrans.html
As for the best practice material, I have that in a pdf file. I can send to you if you want it. The article I have only cover some of the best practice example,.. not all.
Lastly, I would like to say the relief I got from passing this test is much better than the relief I got from the toilet every morning.. oh man, that feels good
good luck, folks

After my first try last month, I finally passed this exam with 64% . This time, the exam asked a lot of "Best Practice/Best Answer" questions about WAS, and WASD. Those are difficult for someone who has not a lot of experience in WAS. I suggest for those who are planning for this test, understand and memorize every single detail about WAS and WSAD.
Good Luck

Hi all,
I'm completely new to this web service thing. I have no clue of how it works. Can anyone point me to the right direction?
I'm a Java programmer with some experience in EJB.
Thanks in advance

Hi all,
I graduated with M.S in Software Engineering in June 2002 from PA, USA. I have passed SCJP, SCWCD and IBM's WebSphere exams since my graduation. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find a position as a software developer in the past six months. I need to find a junior level java position ASAP in US (any state).

Thanks in advance

Sorry guys, discard my previous posts. I was reading VAJ's redbook instead of WSAD. Why ibm has to make things so different?
Another question, why c is correct? Here is what I see..
EJB: Branch EJB: Account
Role of Account: Account Role of Branch: Branch
Navigable: uncheck Navigable: check
Many: check Many: uncheck
Required: uncheck Required: check
Foreign Key: check Foregin Key: uncheck
Since Account EJB need to have getBranch(), thus navigable should be checked at the Account side. And an Account must belonged to a Branch, thus the Required at the Account side is also checked. I think the answer should be (a,d)..
Any idea?
33) A bank's branches and the accounts held within a branch are modeled as CMP Entity Beans with 1:M relationship, that is, every branch has multiple accounts maintained in it. It is important that the Account EJB exposes a getBranch() accessor. Assuming that Application Developer's EJB development tools are used to implement the relationship, what are the different attributes that need to be set?
a) The multiplicity on the Branch side of the relationship is 1..*.
b) The multiplicity on the Account side of the relationship is 0..*.
c) The Navigable property on the Branch side of the relationship.
d) The Navigable property on the Account side of the relationship.
Multiple Select - Please select all of the correct answers (this question has 2 correct choices).
answers: b, c
----------------------
Could (a) be correct? A branch can have many accounts.. right?
According to http://www.withmilk.com/ (where the question came from), the answer should be B, C. Any comment? anyone?
Hi,
Does anyone know what is the passing score for IBM 158 test? I couldn't find the info from ibm's site.
Thanks.
Here is an update from Sun, I think..
SUN CERTIFIED WEB COMPONENT DEVELOPER
Purchase: Sun Educational Services
Available at: Authorized Prometric testing centers
Exam number: CX-310-080
**Prerequisites: Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform (any version) status
Exam type: Multiple choice, short answer, and drag and drop
Number of questions: 60
Pass score: 61% (37 of 60 questions)
Time limit: 90 minutes
Cost: US$150 or as priced in the country where the exam is taken
I think certification is very important to a rookie. I just finished my school with no real world working experience. I do not think, nowadays, people will hire you based on your academic performance anymore (in today's economic). I just got my SCJP, and studying for SCWCD cert. Hopefully, I can find a job after this. It's a tough world out there now..
