Also the retiring page doesn't mention replacement.
Hi guys

Oracle is offering 30% discount in all digital courses until May 31, 2020. The details are here.
I passed the exam in December with the help of the following books (I recommend to everyone that study for this certification):

  • Pivotal Certified Professional Core Spring 5 Developer Exam -  Iuliana Cosmina
  • Core Spring 5 Certification in Detail -  Ivan Krizsan
  • 5 months ago

As mentioned Mikalai, my last one was OCP 8.
Hi guys, the last Monday I passed the 1Z0-817 upgrade exam with 93%. I studied using the following materials (about 3 months of preparation):

  • This forum of course
  • Java 11 Upgrade Learning Subscription (Good value for money, Offers a good overview about JPMS and the new features plus exam voucher)
  • The Nicolai Parlog's Book Part 1 The Java Module System
  • The Mikalai Zaikin's Upgrade Guide (A nice review about all the topics)
  • Enthuware Mocks (Good quality mocks) I first sight I found the Enthuware mocks are a little bit more difficult than the real test.

  • The topics I found more difficult were related to Streams operations (findAny, findFirst, allMatch, noneMatch, groupingBy, partitioningBy),  this because we need to process all the operations in our head, but It's ok at the end.

I took the exam with the OnVue online proctoring and I think It was a good experience and excellent alternative vs the traditional one.

I'm very happy with the results and I'm reading about the next one.
Excellent, always is important update de testing tools.
