Ok thanks..I am going to try that first.......but one question. What about if I need to extract some fields to an excel sheet? is that possible?
Do I have to add additional jar for the above mentioned program?
I have a task, where I need to read numbers from a pdf file on  regular basis, anyone who has a idea about how to proceed for this ...?
As I am adding security config in my spring boot web application by overriding following method, error shows up and my web page displays as a simple text avoiding all the css and js.

Following error shows:
Refused to apply style from '<URL>' because its MIME type ('text/html') is not a supported stylesheet.

what could be the problem??

Actually the problem is getting solved by making different packges for each controller. why is that so?

""Whitelabel Error Page

This application has no explicit mapping for /error, so you are seeing this as a fallback.

Sat Sep 30 11:56:24 IST 2017
There was an unexpected error (type=Not Found, status=404).
No message available""

Above is the error I am getting despite i have solved this earlier for differrent project but I m unable to do it for this one. I am pasting the necessary code that might be faulty below. Please any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

BookController.java in controller package

AdminportalApplication.java in com package

BookService whch is an interface in service package

BookServiceimpl is an implementation class of above interface in service.impl package

The controller package has two controller classes 1. Controller.java and 2. HOmeController. I m thinking that it is looking for the mapping in wrong controller or something. please help...

Ok....its done , there was this database.properties already present in the directory which I had to delete as there was different database connection info in it.

thanks for the help ...everyone......Keep Coding
Yes the problem is that it is not locating the file. I changed the name of my properties file to d.properties.

It gives Filenotfound Exception
I tried what you asked:
The output shows as follows respectively :

null
C:\Users\Varun\Desktop\IIHT_TextBookExample\database.properties
java.sql.SQLException: The url cannot be null

output :
java.sql.SQLException: The url cannot be null
BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 1 second)

The properties file is used is database.properties:

jdbc.drivers = com.mysql.jdbc.Driver
jdbc.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/Sampledb
jdbc.username=root
jdbc.password=tiger
Thanks Campbell Ritchie, I will surely do that...
