I've found that keeping my devices plugged in constantly seems to drag on the battery and make it run down faster. I often like to run my battery down at the end of the night by leaving the brightness at full blast, playing music, and/or just using safari and that seems to run it down pretty quickly so that when I put my device on the charger it charges all the way up. I've found that shutting down and restarting the device does help out the overall 'health' of the device as well.

I've found that the only way to keep my apple products from gaining a lousy battery that can die in only a few hours is to shut it down every few nights and let it restart and not plug it in when the battery is rediculously high (60% or more). My computer usually never gets that low due to frequent/constant usage during the day but it usually takes me 7-8 hours of usage for it to die. I would recommend bringing the brightness of the device all the way up or playing music off it or doing any other battery draining activity for the 30-60 minutes before you know it's going to charge just so that it starts it's charge as low as possible.

I've been using my MacBook Pro for coding for school assignments for nearly three months now and have experienced no difficulties whatsoever which I find really impressive with how much I've saved from all of my classes. Even with multiple Safari windows, PDFs, and music playing I still get no lagging for my programs.

Try doubling up on backslashes as doing so will make the desired amount of backslashes printed out as the compiler is only printing out half of the backslashes as they see the backslashes as an instruction rather than a printable character.

As others have said, using "if (answer.equals("Yes"))" would be a much better alternative to line 13. However, to answer your specific error of having an else without an if statement, that would be because you do not have the else statement before the closing brackets of the if statement, thus making it not a part of the statement.
