What are the different parts of a Product? What are the individual pieces of the product referred to as? For example, let's say I am building a local business directory. Is the overall finished site considered "The Product", or are the various components like the Advanced Filters, business listing pages, etc, also considered products within the overall product?

Our management team hasn't bought into scrum, and prefers waterfall (detailed upfront specs, gannt, schedules, dependencies, etc), but our development team prefers scrum which generally works with concept of sprint. Is there a hybrid approach that can keep both parties happy?
What's the best way to estimate time/cost of software projects, when no one on your team is able to give accurate estimates?
I am currently exploring software for managing the entire software development lifecycle. What is your project management stack for development? e.g. jira, confluence, trello, bitbucket, etc, and how do you integrate the flow of information from one to the other across different departments/stakeholders involved in the process?

I have two development agencies that have proposed two different database models. How do you objectively compare the quality of one database model vs another?

I am a non-technical ecommerce manager that recently started working with an external software development team that is making our API for us. A key concern of mine is to ensure that when external partners call our API, it doesn't overload the system and cause it to freeze/hang/slowdown/timeout. What determines how much volume of calls we can enable others to pull from our API at a given time? Please list out all key factors. We are still in the requirements phase and haven't decided on REST/SOAP or even server/hardware requirements, etc. Thanks.
