I think you should try getting some internship as you just have a general idea about mobile development but software development is software development so they cannot take away the experience from you. I hope you can do what you really like and are interested in. Don't worry, You will do fine. I found the rest of the comments very helpful as well.

Though experience is very important these days but you can still try going for interviews that do not include travelling around on the job. First thing you need to do before going for an interview without any experience is know your subject (coding) very thoroughly. I asked my brother for help to answer your question who has a friend working in software developing. He informed that most people who come for a face to face interview do not know how to write codes at all. The second thing that they look for is your social presence that is a professional blog. Also mention your work done in coding in your portfolio to help you set an impression on the interviewer. Make you Github account as impressive as possible and try to showcase your skill in the technology you want a job in by having at least 3-4 projects done by you. I hope this helps you out and you find a job soon.

I have used safari but I didn't find it great. I am a fan of kindle and PDF as well. Paper backs are beautiful but they take up a lot of space and they get crumpled if carried during a travel, at least mine does. Using PDF is very convenient and simple. I love reading books like that. You could also try Kindle, great to carry during a travel.
