Hi everyone ,

i recently discovered coderanch and felt excited to be one of its family member. I work as a programmer and have knowledge of Java but not as an expert. I want to improve my knowledge and crown it with certification. I need a roadmap to do this. Should i start by preparing to the Java SE 8 Programmer I 1Z0-808 and  then to the  Java SE 8 Programmer II 1Z0-809 or Will it be more beneficial to master the language  with some books (Hilberts Java The Complete Reference ) or training videos(udemy Tim Buchalka) and then prepare for certification? I m not at zero level but not feel comfortable to say that yeah i know Java. I opened a new page with the motto It is not too late for anything. Can 1Z0-808 and Z0-809 still be a good start for beginners or should i start with directly with new one 1Z0-829. Does 1Z0-829 need any pre certificate to take that exam ?

Help me guys. I would like to open a new page in my Java world , step by step I want to put it on. Thank you for all your interest.
