Hi Natalius,
I believe it is confidential, and also believe the number of SCEA in this world would be between half and one million.

I don't think so. By JavaOne 2005 numbers we have 4,5 million java developers in the world.
I think SCEA would be a very small part of it. Much less than 50.000.
For comparasion, Microsoft premier certification MCSD.NET has 20,582 certified professionals by March/2006.

I think to have public numbers help us a lot to get the certifications more valued by the companies. Sun should do it like Microsoft.

Hello,
I've read the Cade Book and some Bambarra chapters and used the Whizlabs Mock. It isn't a perfect mock, hardly, but helps you to
find your weak spots.
After every mock exam i've read material related to my weak spots (articles or exam notes).
I have a good background with J2EE Architecture, so YMMV!
Also, i think that it helped me to have studied earlier for SCBCD.

I just passed SCEA part 1 with 93%!
Thanks everyone for all the help and information available here.
Now it's time to start thinking about part 2!

Good luck!
I was just asking myself how many SCEA are in the world!
What a coincidence!

Bryan,
How the JTA works? Did you get some kind of assignment or survey?

I think that sallary increases can happen, but it 's difficult to get one
in the same company.
But it gets easier to get a new job with a better sallary, i think....
The best thing are more job opportunities, a better curriculum vitae, knowledge recognition, self learning, etc.

Hi,
In the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for J2EE Study Guide book by Paul Allen and Joseph Bambara, it is stated that the J2EE version for the exam would be 1.3, but everywhere i see the version as 1.2 (including the JavaRanch FAQ )

SCEA Study Guide: "The current version of the SCEA exam tests your knowledge of J2EE 1.3 API."

I would like to confirm this.

I have the same problem and this fix really worked.
But it effectively locks the jsp version to 1.2.
We'll have a Tomcat 5 but no way to use a application with jsp version 2.0
Anyone has someway to put a tomcat 4 application working int Tomcat 5 but with Jasper 2?
Best Regards,

Right! But comments like "So the mock exams are refined by now and considered to be very good and their level of difficulty is close to the real exam" or "as the name implies, these sample questions are hard - save it for the last week." are a good indication to gauge the best mocks.

Let's get more straight to the point, did you think that the mock at http://www.ejbcertificate.com/ is a good one?

A friend of mine said that that Whizlabs mock has many question with the wrong answer. But that could changed with later version of the program. What did you think?

I did see it, but i want a list with comments and a ranking of the best mocks.
There is one for SCJP:
http://www.javaranch.com/mock.jsp
I looking for something like that but for SCBCD.

I would like to know which are the best free mocks exams for this test?
I remember that for SCJP there is great resources rating the best mocks, but i didn't find something like that for SCBCD.

Does anybody knows if a new SCWCD certification is in the works?
With Jsp 2.0 e the new servlet specification (dont know the number, 2.4?) im fear to study to the SCWCD and sometime in 2003 a newer certification comes out.
Please someone enlights my fears!
