Good luck everybody!

Anyone has a list of specs and other documents (and their corresponding URLs) that are most likely to be required reading ?
- XML 1.1 (http://www.w3.org/TR/xml11)
- XML Schema (http://www.w3c.org/TR/xmlschema-0/, http://www.w3c.org/TR/xmlschema-1/, http://www.w3c.org/TR/xmlschema-2/)
- ...
Thanks
Jorge
Shouldn't this be "DID the exam" ? Oh whatever...
- It wasn't too hard (I had very little J2ME experience, studied for about a week)
- Most of the drag and drop questions were pretty easy (ex: snippets of code to complete, what class belongs to J2SE, CLDL or both, etc). Got one that refered Personal Basis Profile (that's CDC), out of scope I think!
- Found a couple of bugs. For instance, on one question they had a DataOutputStream that surely was supposed to be a ByteArrayOutputStream (even the variable name was bao ). Some weird looking sentences too (missing words, etc). Wrote comments on all of those.
- Some (not many) questions demand that you know the exact name of a method, and have tricky options (ex: addXXX or setXXX ?).
- Most high-level UI questions were not too detailed API-wise (thank god! ).
- 12 Game questions (my weakest topic), some related to performance issues.
- Quite a few questions regarding MIDlet suite discovery, instalation, update and removal.
The duration is the hardest part! After 3 hours I really started paying less atention to questions (not good). My advice is, mark questions from your weakest topics and get back to them in the end. Do as many questions as you can in the first 2 hours, while you're "fresh".
Good luck to everybody
Jorge
Sorry about the unexpected smiley in the datagram url.
I mean "[: port]" (without the space).

Hi, I'm doing my final review (having exam in 4 hours), and I have some questions regarding networking in MIDP.
1) MIDP 2.0 supports the following types of connections/protocols: http, https, comm, socket (both client and server), ssl and datagram. But which are actually MANDATED by the MIDP spec ?
2) The API docs say that a UDPDatagramConnection URL has the format datagram://[host][ ort]. But doesn't this url always define the "receiving" endpoint, being the "sending" endpoint defined in the Datagram object ? If so, why would we specify a host in the url ? Can this connection type also work in both "client" and "server" modes (like socket) ?
Thanks
Jorge
Hey guys
Do we have to read CLDC 1.0 spec in addition to 1.1 ?
Thanks
Jorge
Any large chunks from the specs that we can safely ignore ?
Jorge
Thanks a lot somkiat!
Still, I'd really like to have an "official version" (Kathy, Bert ?)...

Another vote here... please extend at least until 29th Feb
As far as I know, it's only available in PDF or Postscript, at http://java.sun.com/products/ejb/docs.html.
However, you might also want to browse through the EJB API HTML docs, at http://java.sun.com/products/ejb/javadoc-2_0-fr (or at the previous URL for download).
The same is happening to me and a friend in Portugal.
I just sent a(nother) mail to Evelyn, but I'm sincerely starting to doubt I'll be able to do the exam.
One thing I'm sure: it was the first and last time I'll enroll for a SUN certification beta.

SCJP, SCJD, SCWCD, IBM XML, ... NOT SCBCD
Same thing is happening in Portugal. I was supposed to take my exam tomorrow morning.
Looks like Sun messed up worldwide.
I bet Evelyn's inbox is pretty full by now...

SCJP, SCJD, SCWCD, IBM XML, (would be) SCBCD
Can't seem to access the wickedlysmart ftp site.
Can anyone mail me the pdf to jorge.jordao@s-tecno.pt ?
