Hi,
I am able to connect to AS 400 system using ODBC DSN directly from
Weblogic.
jdbc dbc snname
Due to performance issues we would like to keep the ODBC DSN in another machine and try to get the Remote Connection and get the things done in JDBC -- ODBC ...
Pl let me know how to do the remote dsn connection..
thanks and regards,
RAJ
Note:
I could not do direct JDBC with AS 400 V3R7 as it is not supported by jt400.jar where as jt400.jar supports higher version.
Thanks and Regards,
Hi,
I wish to make connection to AS/400 DB2 from a NT System.
Class.forName("COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net.DB2Driver");
//Class.forName("com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver");
//Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc b2://(ipaddress or hostname):6789/databasename","userid","password");
i am using db2java.zip which is taken after installation of DB2 UDB on
AIX
I am getting the following Exception.
COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.DB2Exception: [IBM][JDBC Driver] CLI0616E Error opening socket. SQLSTATE=08S01
at COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.net.SQLExceptionGenerator.socketException(SQLExcepti
onGenerator.java:646)

This happens if the DB2 JDBC Applet Server is not running. You need start this service.
Is this service is same as DB2JSTRT?
If so, is it available in AS/400 DB2.
If so, how to start this service.
If not what is the way to get Connection?
