Option:1
---------------------------
Client.java {
....
contact.setAddress("new address");
contact.update();
...
}

Contact.java {
......
update() {
contactManager.updateContact(this);
}
.....
}

----------------------------------

Option:2
-----------------------------------
Client.java {
....
contact.setAddress("new address");
contactManager.updateContact(contact);
...
}

Contact.java {
......
// no update() method
.....
}
----------------------------------

In both options there is contactManager but in option 1, Client.java need not know about it whereas in option 2, Client.java must call contactManager to update the contact.

Which one is better?
Great feedback about immortal certificate, I emailed SUN and they will send one soon!
Did anyone receive logo recently?

Recently after passing SCWCD, when I asked for logo, SUN sent me link to "Sun Certified Professional - Java Technology" logo. On inquiring about SCWCD logo, they said: We currently provide one Java logo for all five Java Certifications.
Any idea?

Exam was disappointingly easy, finished with more than 30 minutes to spare and got 96%!

Seems like all the companies are trying to make money on developers! One certificate is not enough so OMG has put three and with $200 price tag for each!! jCert has solution developer cert. where one need to take exam not on technology but on IDE (by IBM)?! IBM has so many cert. on same thing that it's difficult to differentiate between some, even by developers, let alone recruiters/HR people.

I think that if you can pass SWBCD + SCBCD, you can probably pass IBM J2EE, and they should make the Sun cert an alternative for the IBM exam for jCert.

I also believe that once SCBCD is officially available, jCert will include this alternate path.

Hi Andres, I have been working with XML a lot since last year and a half.
I found lot of questions on data modelling, schema, xslt and scenario.
Skonnard(concise and to-the-point) and XML in Nutshell(readability) complements each other nicely but for schema, xfront.com's presentation is more useful. Official book "Professional XML" may be very good but I found it too descriptive, so I didn't refer.
Today I passed IBM - XML with 87%
Resources:

WEB resources (thanks for all those links)
time approx 20 days.
Thanks for all!

Hi Luciano,
I understand Sun being the parent of J2EE, you would choose sun (or there is other reason?). But why IBM 484/483 after SCWCD & SCBCD ? They don't overlap?
What about I heard that Sun exams are more technical detail oriented oppose to those from IBM, being more, overall conceptual understanding oriented?

Web Component Certification (SCWCD) + EJB Certification (SCBCD) from SUN
against
Enterprise Connectivity Test (with J2EE, V1.2)Test 483 from IBM
How they compare? Which path to select?

Thanks.
Well, a recruiter said he appreciates resumes with 2-3 relevant certificates but ones with long list of them, sounds superficial and amateurish!
So, may be no problem in getting many certies but only few on resume!!
I was just contemplating a question, How many certificates are too much on resume? Or the more, the better?
Thanks.
