It is of type forward only...that is the problem
Hi Guys...

I am using windows 2000 OS. How will it matter.
Hi
I wanted to know if we could use scrollable(forward and backward) resultset for stored procedures. If yes, could i have a link or a sample code which tells me more about it.
Hi

I have a really unique problem with this one..I have a database having 19 tables each of which contains more than 50,000 records and data keeps flowing to these tables (their size keeps increasing). I have joins on these tables. Now i have a web interface through which these data can be viewed. For each user logged in when i get records, the tomcat memory is used..to keep this data. After running this application for 1 day, tomcat gives an out of memory exception. How do i handle this memory problem.

PS: the users are not allowed to view all records. Different users have different rights.
Hi

I am building a web application, it has different links to move across different pages. Say there are 4 links a,b,c and d. If i am currently in link 'b', and then click on link 'a' and then click immediately on the browser stop button, the action is not complete, but i think some part of the servlet code is already executed and some parameters have been updated. Now when i perform a request operation on using the current link i.e. b the selected link option shifts to 'a'. Soon after i get an invalid user login error. Someone..please help..really critical..

I am using the jdbc thin driver to retrieve data from a CLOB object. The efficiency of this is very bad, i would like to know if by using the oci driver the performance of this operation will increase.
What is the difference between String x="hello"; and String x=new String("hello") in terms of the object creation and the reference. Is there any difference in the way memory is allocated for these two type of String declarations.
