i created appserver in websphere 5.0.2 under windows nt. after that i upgraded the plug-in. i deployed an application in the newly created appserver, but the status of that application is showing "unavailable" if i try to make it start its saying that application is deployed in another server. if it is that case why its showing here?
after starting the new server i need to c my app is running or not. which i culdn't able to do.
i hope there is some problem is related to configuring the server... in this case how its related to plugin-cfg.xml?

i tried what u said, but its not allowing me to go admin console. i doubt there is some thing in plugin_cfg.xml file. does this file makes will be the reason for not allowing me to go to the admin console of newly created app server. if that is the reason i may not be configured the app server properly...correct me if my guessing is wrong

i logined as server1 and created an appserver apserver2 and now i want to go into the admin part of this server. how can i do that, if i simply give "http://localhost:9091/admin" is not allowing me to go. did i need to do something else to start the admin server for the newly created appserver.

i am able to start the httpserver with apache but to stop it i am using ctrl+c to comeout from server.
in websphere app server i started server1 and entered in as admin user by giving "http://localhost:9090/admin" and i created a server by name server2 and i installed on sample.ear file and i gave database properties and all other required stuff. and now i want to run the application by started the server2.
i stopped the server1 and if i give
startserver server2 means its giving me error message saying that this server cannot be reached. but from admin console i am able to start and stop the server for that particular application.
did i need to do anything else for stopping the server from command prompt?

i installed ibm httpserver 5.0.2 in windows nt , here i installed it not as an windows service. to start this server i cudn't able to find any where llike start server kind of thing, cud any one tell how to start the server. bcoz i didn't find start server option even in start button of windows.

i got this..
actually my application contains some static files which we decided to put in ibm http server and the jsp/servlet files in websphere application server.
the problem is how to provide the communication between these to servers manually...if i give a filename in my html, which sits in WAS where i am giving its real path, then my html file sitting in webserver should locate that location in WAS, how it can be done?

i am new to websphere environment.
i am using websphere5.0 app server in windows nt4.0 sp6.
i installed websphere app sever as a service in operating system... and i started that service using:
startServer server1.
it started fine...
but when i give the url in as "http://localhost:9080/", its saying that page cannot be displayed...
i checked the post whether its listening or not using "netstat" command, its listening...
i hope in some web.xml/application.xml i need to give the default directory, which i could'nt able to find.
cud anyone help me in this regard to run a hello.jsp...
i tried by putting the welcome.jsp in the location "E:\WebSphere\AppServer\installedApps\sgit1325qltl\DefaultApplication.ear\DefaultWebApplication.war" but not able to c it in browser...
