Hi ranchers,

It is possible to have service oriented interfaces if the server is EJB using?

Regards,
Maria
Congratulations, David. I lost more points as you for GUI (I received only 17 from 40) and I didn't understand why. I am also happy to have the certification but I want to know why my GUI is not good.
Maybe someone has an answer to this question.

Congratulations, Adrian.
How long it is taken to receive the score results? I have uploaded my assignment (11.06.2004) and I have seen that I was certified on 21.06.2004 (also the exam status is passed), but I cannot see any score results. Is this the normal case?

PS: Dac ai chef scrie-mi pe HeidiPopa@aol.com s mai discutm despre certificate.

Hi,
I have Tomcat 5.0.25.
I can start a jsp but not a simple servlet. I have the servlet compiled class and java class in the default directory ...C:\Tomcat 5.0\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes. When I call:
http://localhost:8080/servlet/HelloServlet
I got the error message HTTP Status 404: "The requested resource is not available".

I have the variablen JAVA_HOME =C:\j2sdk1.4.2_04,
CATALINA_HOME=C:\Tomcat 5.0
and the PATH%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%CATALINA_HOME%;C:\Tomcat 5.0\common\lib\servlet-api.jar

What can be wrong?
I hope somebody can help me.

Hi,
I have the same problem with servlets. I am using Tomcat 5.0.25.
I can start a jsp, but not a simple servlet. I have used the default directory ..\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes and I put the HelloServlet.java and HelloServlet.class.
By calling:
http://localhost:8080/servlet/HelloServlet, I receive the error:
"The requested resource (/servlet/HelloServlet) is not available."

In the system properties I have a new variable CATALINA_HOME and I set it in the path. I added to the classpath the servlet-api.jar.
I hope, somebody knows was is wrong.

Thank you in advance,
Maria
Terry, thank you for your answer. I was thinking that may be tomorrow I can upload, but now I know that I must be pacient.

Regards,
Maria
Hi ranchers,

For uploading is necessary to write to suncert to receive upload rights.
How long it will take until I have a reponse?

Maria
Hi ranchers,
I need your help!
Hi all,

Please comment on my design:

The client side is implemented using the MVC pattern. I didn't implemented this in the common sence, means for each view a modell and a controller. I have only one Controller and one model for the main window ContractorView and also for the view where the user can book a contractor (which shows the fields from the selected row and has a editable textfield to perform booking).
The model is the contractor table model. I found I don't need a separate contractor and model for the book contractor view.
For the configuration window I didn't use a controller and model because the business logic is too simple - the 3 relevant data are stored in the system properties.
The congiguration window and the main window are JFrame and the book contractor view is a JDialog. I allow the user to return from the main window to the configuration window and to show or change the configuration.

I am now writing the choices.txt and I don't know very well how can I argue
my design choice. Can I say that I used MVC?

Regards,
Maria
Thank you, Al. I think you have rigth.
Hi ranchers,
I have a guestion about my client side.
I have tree screens: the configuration view, the main view and the book contract view. I have defined the configuration view as JFrame and the others as JDialog. Now I am not sure that this is Ok. May be the main view( with the JTable and search panel) should be a JFrame?
Your answer is very important.

Maria
