All,
We have upgraded a jar to a newer version. But we need few applications to use the older version and other applications to use the newer version? We have specified in manifest the appropriate path of the jar to be used? We see some issues with two versions of same jar. Do we need to have a separate classloader for each application? What is your suggestion?

Thanks,
Ram

congratulations tomas. Great Score.

How many classes and how many components were there in your diagrams?

Thanks,

Hi All,
Does the EJB Specification allow to open sockets in EJB code. We have a stateless session bean which has a helper class which invokes a postmethod using HttpClient. HttpCLient does create sockets. Please help.

Hi All,
We are using NTCredentials class from httpClient (commons-httpclient-2.0.jar) for NTLM Authentication. Just wanted to know whether the username and password passed to the constructor of NTCredentials be encoded by using Base64 encoding. or should it be passed as a normal username and password without encoding.

Thanks,
Ram

Thanks Jeff.

The commit option is set to B. If I retrieve the value from the table then, it retrieves the recent value.

We have wrapped an entity bean around the view (consists of join of two tables). The problem occurs only when we retrieve values from the view. When we check the values in the view in database , they have the recent values. But when using finder on the view, it returns the value from cache.

Please advice.

We are using standard CMP entity beans and JBOSS 3.2.0. When we execute a finder it returns the cached value and not the actual value from the table.

Which setting should be specified in order to make the finders return the value from the table instead of retrieving from cache.

We are using EJB1.1. Does jboss 3.2.0 support entity bean inheritance for EJB1.1.

Hi,
We are using CMP and the entity beans transaction attribute has been set to Required and in addition to it, the isolation level has to be set to TRANSACTION_READ_COMMITTED. How do we specify transaction Isolation level of a specific entity bean in jboss. In which config or xml file should I specify the transaction Isolation level.

I am using jboss3.2 and tomcat 4.1.24.
1)I have a jar file which has a Factory class which creates classes based on the name sent.
Class aclass = Class.forname(name);
Aclass a = (Aclass) aclass.newInstance();
This jar file is under WEB-INF\lib folder.
2)Then I have another class in the WEB-INF/Classes folder which invokes
create method on the Factory class in the jar file.
The class corresponding to the name(com.classb) I passed, also resides in the WEB-INF/Classes folder. the class com.classb implements the AClass interface. but ti is not part of the jar file.
3) I am getting the error (com.classa - classNotFound exception).
4) Is there any problem with packaging? How should it be packaged.
Thanks,
Ram
