thank you, Laxmi. I hope you get a good test result.
i send an email to ask suncert to give me permission to upload my assignment. usually how long it will take? once i upload the assigment, can i take part 3 immediately, e.g. in the same day?
I am wondering if these two terms are the same, are they interchangable? or one is old term, the other is new term?
Thank you, Jose, because you get full mark on the sequence diagram, can you share your way of how to draw the <<include>> use case in sequence diagram? for example, use case 1 includes use case 2, then the corresponding sequence digram(SD)1 needs to use correponding SD2, how do you model SD2 in SD1? as an actor or an object?, and also in SD2, how do u model SD1, as an actor?
congradulations! for your sequence diagram, do u draw for each use case, including "create profile".., or just four use cases?
in the delivery, it is said "create either a sequence or collaboration diagram for each use case provided", what does that mean? only those four detailedly elaborated use cases, or all the use cases in the use case diagram?
I just downloaded the Together Designer for Eclipse for drawing UML.
But I am stuck with two issues:
1. in class diagram, if a class does not have any attribute or operation, then only one field with the class name will be shown, instead of always showing three fields for the class. Is there any way to change it?
e.g. ----------
| class 1 | is shown, I want to have -----------
|_________| | class 1 |
2. in component diagram, the steorotype "<<component>>" is default for all the components, how can I change to <<jsp>>? And also, a component is not shown as the standard way, a rectangle with two smaller rectangles extending from its left side. It is shown as a class object with a component icon inside. Is this the default image from Together Designer? Can I change it?

I am not familiar with Together Designer. Please help,
I am still doubt about the definition of segment. if we assume toronto->Denvor, Denvor->LasVegas as two segments for the one way trip toronto->LasVegas, then when the customer changes the itinerary and selects the segment, they can choose denvor->LasVegas. But in real world, we are not allowed to do so.
thank you. it is very helpful. so segment and leg are the same meaning, is this understanding correct?
I cannot find the clear definition in the dictionary. Please help me. one way trip is just one segment, round trip is two segments? is this understanding correct? inside one segment, if the flight stops over once, (for example, from Toronto to Las Vegas, if the flight stops over Denvor), then that means this segment has two legs?
In the assignment, it is said we only need to list the assumptions. Would that be enough? Do we need to write something like a design specification?
For question 5 on page 171. If this statement is true: "The remove() method in the component interface can be used only by remote clients." . And the explanation is "no, only for local".

But I think remove() is for both local and remote client. What do you think?
Plus, Corey, the diagrams you drew are very nice and make a lot senses to me. I think K&B should include such kind of pictures in their book. This definitely helps. I am now much more confident for garbage collection questions.
thanks all of you very much. You give me very good and detail explanations. I think now I understand much better about what objects are eligible for garbage collection.
Giving the following,
12. X3 x2=new X3();
13. X3 x3=new X3();
14. X3 x5 = x3;
15. x3=x2;
16. X3 x4=x3;
17. x2 =null;
18. // insert code
what two lines of code, inserted independently at line 18, which make an object eligible for garbage collection?
A. x3=null;
B. x4=null;
C. x5=null;
D. x3=x4;
E. x5 = x4;
answer is C and E. Why? which object is eligible for garbage collection in this case? Why not A? if x3 =null, then x2 is eligiable for collection, right? I am very confused about garbage collection. please advise.
