Based in San Francisco, California Dolby Laboratories creates technologies that intensify and enhance the entertainment experience. For nearly four decades, Dolby has been instrumental in defining high-quality audio and surround sound in cinema, broadcast, home audio systems, cars, DVDs, headphones, games, televisions, and personal computers.
Learn and contribute to the software engineering of Dolby Professional software products using a variety of platforms and languages including Linux, Java and C/C++. Develop enhancements to current systems and products. Plan, design, and develop new software applications for the next generation of Dolby Professional products for film, broadcast, and electronic cinema.
Requires:
�B.S. or M.S. in CE or CS or equivalent professional experience and training
�At least 1 year professional experience in Java and C programming or significant college work
�Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas helpful: object-oriented design and development, design patterns, UML, EJB, JMS, embedded real-time systems software, or user interface design and development (Java Swing preferred)
�Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and apply good judgement to shifting priorities a must
�Ability to contribute to an effective software process including design reviews, code inspection, and unit testing a must
�Must be methodical and detail-oriented and have a thorough approach to problem-solving, good communication skills, and a team-oriented work ethic
�Knowledge of or experience working in an organization that practices World-Class Quality procedures preferred.
