Personally I have started to leave a space before the semi-colon, ( I find it easier to see if I have missed it out !! ), in my opinion it looks better and is easier to read ( but that's my opinion ).

For the print out of the data for each item, should this be on separate lines or all one line ( I have it all on one line, but it seems quite long ! )

I got a nitpick about using a class variable when I could be using one declared within a method ( if you understand ? ). Is this a preference thing or is there some important point that I am missing ?

Am I right to say that a method variable will only persist while the method is being invoked while a class variable will hang around until the class is no longer needed ?

Would it be right to assume then , if XML assignments come on line, the Nitpickers might be very busy !!!

Does the assignment log give an accurate picture of how many people are on the cattle Drive or are there many who don't post on it ?

I don't know if any of this will help, but if you look back at previous posts there are a few issues which have been addressed like the following for example.

Your using another program to write your assignments rather than just the JDK - this might mean there are more issues to look into ?

I know it sounds obvious but you have double checked your spelling etc ? ( I know I have typed something wrong and not noticed it ! ).

You have to find a class that can handle such a big number ! , look through the API documentation, you will find a class that fits the bill.
