Try JAXB. It is more efficient than DOM and easier than SAX.
What is the technical depth of this book?
Thanks,
Baps.
Can some one please tell me how difficult is SCWCD 1.4 exam when compared to SCWCD 1.3 exam?
Thank you Ranchers.

I cleared SCWCD 1.3 with 93%. I felt the test was very easy.

I read

SCWCD Exam Study Kit by Hanumant Deshmukh and Jignesh Malavia.

I started preparing for the exam before HFS book was released. I was not able to spend much time for the exam. I spent less than an hour per week. Since I did not have time to read the big book (HFS) for 1.4, I took 1.3.

I consider "SCWCD Exam Study Kit by Hanumant Deshmukh" is a very good book for 1.3. Ofcourse, this book is no good anymore because Sun discounitued SCWCD 1.3. Still it can be a good book for starters.

I got 5-6 questions on Design Patterns and they are very easy.

Can anyone please tell me how difficult is SCWCD 1.4 when compared to 1.3?

Thanks.

Hello All,

I am developing a bean component which is edited by UI developer to modify the bean properties. Right now, We are using NetBeans for UI development. I compared NetBeans with Eclipse. It looks like NetBeans is better than Eclipse for developing UI.

I would like to know whether NetBeans is the best in IDEs for UI development with custom property editing.

Is there any other interesting IDE for custom proerty editing?

Thanks in advance .

It is possible. Use a flag variable to track the status (submission type).

May be you can solve it using client side scripting and hidden form element.

include a hidden form element like: <input type="hidden" name="submittype" value="">.

Set the value of this hidden variable to submit button name using client side scripting before form is submitted. You can retrieve this value at server side in your next JSP page.

I hope it will solve your problem ...

Recently I got similar kind of problem. I found that tomcat was setup as a service and was starting at the system start up. Since tomcat is already running and listening to the port, it gave me BindException when I tried to start it.

If it is the case, You can directly use it without starting it again.
Thank you John for your reply. I am familiar with JSP and Servlet and I am a beginner of Struts. It seems this book will help me in learning Struts.
