I have a project (academic)where i stream voice on LAN.. i was wondering how to go about it.. and another problemm .. say there are 2 systems on lan and to are already in a converstion.. wht if another system wanna speak with either of those.. how to tackle those situations.. please i need java rancher experts inputs!!

Hello ranchers,

I wanna know is there any db which doesnt need any dsn for connection.. with java swings.. and i also need database which is portable .. i mean when i convert my application to exe and setup file i want my data base to be with in that setup and when ever i install it in different system it should be installed there .. is it possible to do so?.. If any one is aware of it .. please throw light at it.. thank you

i was wondering to see there is not free webhosting for the Jsp deployment. when asp of microsoft can afford to have a free webbosting ie brinkster.com why cant jsp has it.. well searched through the google.. they say free and when i try to get register its not free .. so please ppl if u know any webhosting sites for jsp free ..... let me knowww

I frequently dovelop desktop application using swings.. i am used to hard coding .. recently i downloaded the visual editor plugin with eclipse to make my work easy.. but i am not able to get use to it or i think i dont know how to use the visual editor properly.. like i am not able to add even a small menu bar with menu to my jFrame.. I have all prerequisites for this plugin ie emf and other ... can any one suggest any tutorial or some thing which makes my work easy... i want to use eclipse with this plugin to build applications i need to know the terminologies.. i am used to eclipse.. i just want to know how to work on "visual Editor" so please suggest some tutorials for it ........

Well i checked the Help--->About -->Plugin info.. as you said my Jigloo pluginis not at all there.. but i am sure that i have extracted it to the eclipse folder in my root and in the plugin folder and the Feature folders have the Jigloo folders respectively...

Even i checked in the View Error log.. and i could see some exceptions as follows.. i will just copy and paste the Exceptions..

I just downloaded Jigloo Plugin for eclipse3.0 for gui java application dovelopment .. I just extracted the plugin to the eclipse directory in my root.. ie c:\eclipse.. After that i started my eclipse.. and pressed ctrl+n .. here i am suppose to find the GUI FORMS which happens to be that of the JIgloo plugin.. but its missing .. i tried my best to find the soln for this.. but in vain..

Same thing happened with the v4all plugin.. then i found that eclipse3.0 wont support v4all.

As for as Jigloo is concerned . it does support Eclipse3.0.

ECLIPSE Experts.. please wear a Thinkin Caps if required and help solving this problem .. i will be thankful

I recently downloaded v4all plugin for doveloping swing and swt applications.. and i found that this plugin wont support for Eclipse3.0 ...
I am badly in a need of a plugin similiar to this where i can dovelop Rapid Application using Swings and swts.. and for gods sake free plugins please... If anyone let me the url of such plugin... i would be thankful tot them...

Hello,

I just wanted to knos is socket programming a good alternative for instead of using javamail?
I am working on mail client project similiar to outlook.. i thought of using pop and smtp commands executing through the socket to get the data from the pop and smtp server.. will it be feasible .. is it effecient.. please let me know about this..
