I have been facing the following error i.e.

could not load JDBC driver: java.lang.NullPointerException

while i try execute my below mentioned program on the explorer.
Please advise me what should I do.

Could you please briefly introduce your book for us enabling us to have a review of what you've offered after your untold efforts to write it for us.
Taking this opportunity, i would like to ask you that why did you choose to write a book on JSTL that means what's the reason that you could have interest in writing on this topic.

This is what i have been looking for.
I will apply your suggestion and will aware myself with the api's you mentioned and wet my hands with by applying them practically.

My PC is getting restarted automatically whenever i power-on it. It moves little further and restarted.
Can you suggest me what the problem can be with this.
This happens very soon after i got it's mother-board changed (as it was not moving forward from NVRAM... message). But now it's forwarding and initializing its NVRAM but getting restarted automatically.
IMO there can be a RAM problem, but before its mother-board changing it was running perfectly and never got the computer restarted. what do you say?

What i understand from your querry is that you wanna to pass Properties object to getConnection()'s constructor.
There are three constructors of getConnection() method which are:
getConnection( String url )
getConnection( String url , java.util.Properties info )
getConnection( String url , String user , String password )
that means the 2nd constructor allows you to pass on the Properties' obj in the getConnection() method.

I am working on a website, they want to provide login, registeration, and mailing back to user info on different offers which he checks at the time of registeration.
Can anybody suggest me any artical or resource which provide me guidelines that how can it be done.

Thanks for all the information and for being with us and also for your precious time you had passed by answering our querries.
This is a good book for both beginners (as it contains 3 chapters for them) and others objective-wise chapters which clearly shows its valuability for those seeking for certification.
I would like to mention that this book is as useful as we find RHE book while preparing for scjp certification as it also included objective-wise description of the topics.

An important benefit of custom tag is it's 'reusability' means you can once make a custom tag functional and can use its functionality/logic in multiple applications.
For example: you've defined a database connection in a custom tag, opening, calling db, iterating records and such types of things can be once defined in your tag and be used in multiple applications and you don't have to bother to write it again for other app.
Hope it helps a bit and clarifies your querry.
