Balaji...thanks for your reply. Actually, i wasn't importing all the jar files into the run-time classpath. Its kinda strange, coz the error that I mentioned before persisted for a long time until I decided to use all the jar files that came with Batik. And presto..it worked.

I suspect, the problem was being caused because some of the jar files might be interdependent, but i'm not sure. Perhaps someone worked extensively with Batik might comment.

But now here's the thing...all my SVG-XML was rasterized to JPG just fine, however it shows JPGs as broken images. I thought it would leave JPGs alone, but apparently it tries to rasterize those too. Any ideas on this?

Thanks everyone..
best

Hello all:
I'm using Eclipse with Struts framework and am trying to create and convert a SVG graphic to JPG. This is the error that i've been getting:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError rg/apache/batik/dom/svg/ExtensibleSVGDOMImplementation

Now I've made sure multiple times to import the jar file. I'm deploying my application on the JBoss server and find this jar file in JBoss deploy directory too when I deploy the application. But the same error persists. I have had a couple of NoClassDefFound errors before, and I corrected them the same way, by importing the jar file into the WEB-APP/lib directory of my application. They worked, but this error is adamant !!

Any ideas anyone? Also, my apologies if I've posted this in the wrong forum.
Thanks
Hello all:

I have a multiple vale selection box (not drop down) as follows:
.....
....
<html:select property="swbox" size="14" multiple="true">
<html ption value="B">B - By Quadrant Measurements</html ption></br>
<html ption value="C">C - Call In on Outage</html ption></br>
<html ption value="E">E - Event Log</html ption></br>
.....
.....

Is there a way I can select multiple values without using the Control or Shift button? I guess the other option I have is to use checkboxes instead.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance

Hello all,
I'm using javascript in a JSP which uses the onchange() function to populate 4 drop down boxes that are linked. Based on the options selected in the JSP a graphic is created. Now when I go back to the JSP, I want all the options selected on the form to be retained. However the Drop Down menus do not retain their values. Please help!

I don't quite get whats explained in https://coderanch.com/t/112616/HTML-JavaScript/retaining-form-field-after-submission
thanks in advance

How do I populate a text area in a form, with certain pre-set values based on a drop down selection menu? Also, I need to make the text box non-editable. Please help...

Thanks
Hello,

I'm using Javascript in a JSP page for client side verification, that dynamically updates contents of drop down menus based on previous selections. Based on my form selection, a graphic is created, h'ever when i hit back button, I'd like to see the drop down menu's reset.

I think the onLoad() function can do it. Any ideas where it is invoked?
thanks in advance

True, I'm using Solar Eclipse, and apart from syntax highlighting there is NO advantage..
Anyone used Struts Studio?? Experiences..?
yeah..i realized that !!
any other IDE that you know ???
I'm new to using the Eclipse IDE, and was wondering if there is any Plug in that would allow a preview of the JSPs without having the package and deploy my application?

I know that this feature exists in Struts Studio, any idea about Eclipse?
Thanks in advance..

I'm getting the following error in my index.jsp page:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /index.jsp(2,0) According to the TLD or the tag file, attribute onchange is mandatory for tag redirect

Can't figure out which tld file I should alter. Please help.

You're right, I was using ONCHANGE instead of onchange. HOwever i'm getting a new error now:

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /index.jsp(2,0) According to the TLD or the tag file, attribute onchange is mandatory for tag redirect

So do i just copy the attribute specification ie.
<attribute>
<name>onchange</name>
<required>true</required>
<rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>
</attribute>

to the index.jsp file? If so, where? The contents of my index.jsp file are as foll:
<%@ taglib uri="/tags/struts-logic" prefix="logic" %>
<logic:redirect forward="kv2c"/>

thanks so much
Ravi

Oh, also I changed the ONCHANGE attributes in the above mentioned files to read:

<attribute>
<name>onchange</name>
<required>true</required>
<rtexprvalue>true</rtexprvalue>

Still my error stays. I'm new to this technology, any ideas anyone?

JSP
Hi, I'm trying to integrate some client side verification using Javascript in an existing JSP page and this is the error i get:

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /pages/kv2cmod.jsp(188,0) Attribute ONCHANGE invalid for tag select according to TLD
org.apache.jasper.compiler.DefaultErrorHandler.jspError(DefaultErrorHandler.java:39)
org.apache.jasper.compiler.ErrorDispatcher.dispatch(ErrorDispatcher.java:407)
org.apache.jasper.compiler.ErrorDispatcher.jspError(ErrorDispatcher.java:238)
org.apache.jasper.compiler.Validator$ValidateVisitor.checkXmlAttributes(Validator.java:975)
org.apache.jasper.compiler.Validator$ValidateVisitor.visit(Validator.java:696)

I see the onchange attribute defined in the files "Struts-html.tld" and "Struts-nested.tld".

How should I proceed?
Thanks and regards
