Using console doesn't help either (I was using System.out.print before). Here is what I do on the native side:

Here is the convert:

but I do know. I tested the output of the NSString, char* and jstring on the native side. All print well and correctly. It is only when I print on the Java side that I get the question marks.

hi all
I have a JNI code written in Objective-C (though I believe I would have the same problem in a C/C++ program) that returns jstring to the Java code. I am using the char* to jstring conversion as specified here http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#technotes/tn2005/tn2147.html in the "Creating Java Strings From Native Strings" section. My problem is that while on the native side the strings are correct (i.e. native string presents in the standard output correctly) when passed to Java and sent to standard output I get '?' for the non-English characters.

Thanks

Does any one if it possible to have a Java 1.4.2 client connecting to Java 1.5 server?

what happens if the server (which is Java 1.5) returns a HashMap to the client? Will the client be able to diserialize it?

Hi there
We have a server running and developed for Java 1.5. This server has client Open APIs also written in Java 1.5 of course. Now we have a customer that has Java application running on Java 1.4.2. The client's code in order to work with our server has to use our Open APIs. What's the best solution?

BTW, we support web services (for none Java clients) so maybe they should use the Web Services?

I know that at the begining of JDK 1.5 you could compile Java 1.5 code and run it on Java 1.4.2. Can it still be done?

Hi there, I have heard somewhere that there might be a way to fetch the Router's MAC address from the Request/Session. Anyone knows anything about it?
Hi there
I am implementing my own URLClassLoader (the one that uses all Jars is the application's lib directory). Now I want that this class loader will be the class loader in my app, i.e. every time someone calls new... it uses this class loader. In other wards, I would like to be able to do in my main something like

Anyone knows how to do it?

Hi there
I am looking for a package that uses JavaMail for sending alerts. This means that this package should expose API to schedule recurrent Emails, postpones Emails, knows how to recover from failures...
Is there such?

Thanks

The thing is that through time, the JPanel changes it size, and I want the jscroll to act accordingly, but it doesn't. What do I do?
