Thanks for the reply,
well, I have a application running in weblogic and I have configured this to be directly accessed in apache. So everything runs fine and the app is accessible with this URL. http://<someIP>/<someName>/welcome.jsp. If I just say http://<someIP> then it gives me the default apache page. I just want to change this default page.

Still do I need to make use of Tomcat for this?

Thanks,

NO. there is no TOMCAT. We are using Apache 1.3

Greetings,

I want to change the default page in apache to a different one.
eg: http://x.x.x.x will give me the apache page. Instead I want to point to "http://x.x.x.x/welcome.jsp". So whenever user gives the IP http://x.x.x.x, it should give them the page http://x.x.x.x/welcome.jsp.

I appreciate if someone can suggest me how to achieve this.

Thanks in Advance,

Hello,

I want to install oracle application server with multiple server instances on a single host on red hat Linux advanced server 2.1. Though I found the doc for installing oracle application server, it does not tell me how to get multiple server instances. I have created instances/domains in Websphere and Weblogic but I am finding difficult in understanding Oracle App server. Its very confusing. This is the first time I am working on Oracle App Server.

I appreciate if someone can guide me with detailed steps or links to achieve this.
Let me know if you need any more info

Thanks,

I am trying to point multiple Weblogic instances in Apache 1.3. My platform is RedhatAS2.4
and when I try to access it http://domain.com/NAME2 , I only get the second instance succcessfully. When I try to access the first instance http://domain.com/NAME1 , it throws me the error saying
"The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent"

I am giving 2 instances in httpd.conf defined as below

<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
WebLogicHost localhost
WebLogicPort 7001
</IfModule>
<Location /NAME1>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
</Location>

<IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
WebLogicHost localhost
WebLogicPort 7005
</IfModule>
<Location /NAME2>
SetHandler weblogic-handler
</Location>

I searched in google and could not find anything related to Apache. I appreciate ur help.

Hello,

I have Weblogic 8.1 SP1 and I want to upgrade to SP2. I am not able to find the service pack 2 for weblogic 8.1. I also want to upgrade it with keeping the existing domains as we have lot of customizations.
Can someone point me in the right direction to download SP2 and upgrade it without loosing the domains with all the detailed steps...

Thanks,

Hi,

We have Weblogic 8.1 on Solaris 8. We have lot of domains in the user_projects. Instead of shutting down and starting up each domain everytime. I would like to have a weblogic start and stop script in Solaris rc scripts so that when I reboot the system all the weblogic instances in each domain should be stopped and started up automatically when the system comes up.
I think lot of people would have implemented this. I appreciate if someone can help me in achieving this.

Thanks,

HI,

I have Tomcat4.1.31 , Apache2 with JDK1.4 version. These are integrated through ModJk2 connector. I can access the URL and everyday I get this error and the URL will not be accessible and I need to restart both apache and tomcat. Not able to figure out where the problem is. Can somebody help me with this.

I am getting this error in mod_jk_log

[Thu Oct 28 08:00:15 2004] [jk_ajp_common.c (783)]: ERROR: can't receive the response message from tomcat, network problems or tomcat is down (63.105.186.245

[Thu Oct 28 08:00:15 2004] [jk_ajp_common.c (1035)]: ajp_send_request 2: request body to send 0 - request body to resend 0

Also if I restart Tomcat and apache2 then it starts working fine. I think after some particular hours of idle time this problem reoccurs.

Please help me and let me know about this strange behaviour.

Hello Radhika,

What is the JK2 source file u loaded. Give me full name of that package. Also there is binary for JK2 avaiable for Solaris. So please install the binary and try it. It will work. Even I had the same problem and I struggled a lot. But after installing the binary file. everything worked perfect.

Thanks,
