Hi Jason,

The problem is nothing to do with suid.
Extend your DivisionByZeroException from either RuntimeException or to be specific ArithmeticException. This should solve your problem.

Hi,

I was told in my project that we should declare the initial size of StringBuffer with a prime-number ie like

I dint get a convincing response as to why it should be a primenumber.
And it seems, the same logic applies even to Hashtable.

Can any1 tell me whats the actual reason behind this?
TIA.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi All,

Thanks for reading this thread.

I have successfully installed the SOA suite basic version. But, when Iam trying to login to
BPEL Control
ESB Control
Web Services Manager Control
Application Server Control
Rules Author

Its asking me for a Single Sign On, Iam giving "oc4jadmin/oracle". But, am getting an error. Incorrect username or password.
So I tried to activate my admin with the "oc4jadmin" password with this command.
"java -jar jazn.jar -activateadmin oc4jadmin".
Then, a prompt comes for a
AbstractLoginModule username: oc4jadmin
AbstractLoginModule password:

Here too, am giving "oc4jadmin/oracle". But, its not helping either.
I donot hv a clue of whats this AbstractLoginModule. Iam new to this App Server. Iam yet to figure out how to go to Application Server Control. Can someone please help me out!!!

TIA and eagerly waiting for a response.

Hi,
Am working on conversion of decimal to BCD (Binary coded decimal) and viceversa. I require BCD for calling Cobol from Java using JNI.
Can anybody help me out in giving a pointer or an algorithm for doing the same.
I Googled on the web for any info on BCD conversion, but all in vain.
Please help me out.

We have this specific problem related to JBoss-4.0.1 and log4j (which comes inbuilt in JBoss).
I dont want JBoss's inbuilt log4j to do logging for me.
I want to make my own properties file and JBoss on the fly should lift the properties file and log accordingly to files and console.
I tried to disable JBoss's log4j logging. But am unable to do it.

If I try to run a stand-alone java program (without JBoss Server) with a log4j properties file, it works fine and logs accordingly as given in my properties file.
But, if I try to run my application (on JBoss), it is not taking my properties file, but it is taking JBoss's log4j.xml and logs accordingly.
I tried to customize the log4j.xml, even that dint work for me.

I have deleted all the log4j.xml files, wherever I found in the %JBOSS_HOME% folder. Yet am not able to find the solution, even though, there is no xml file, even then, JBoss logs as if it is lifting the properties from an xml.

Please give me a solution to my problem.
