Hi,

The problem was due to a WSAD variable "ORACLE_JDBC_DRIVER_PATH" not being set. Assigning a proper value to the variable solved it

Hi,

i need to develop CMP using WAS & Oracle 8 as my backend. I have configured a datasource on WAS.

While developing CMP, is there any other files required other than "ejb-jar.xml" ?

is there any sample development guide on the net for developing CMP using WAS.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

My custom servlet extends HttpServlet. HttpServlet has doPost method defined as shown below

If my servlet has to handle Post request why do I need to override the doPost method ?

As it extends HttpServlet it should find the method in the super class.

Thanks & Regards

it works fine bcz its the earlier code which is getting executed. Rename the second class, it will compile but wont execute.

The entry point into the program has to be

The code would compile perfectly if it has not been declared public but wont run. Check whether an existing program with same name exists in the classpath

hi,

indeed you need to include javax.ejb package in your client classpath.

Hi,

You can use the request implicit object to access the input parameters send from the input page irrespective of the method used ie; post or get.

in your jsp page you can access the field 'name' as follows

after the page is submitted to itself one could check for a parameter and determine whether the form is submitted and suppose to contain values.

Hope this helps
