I've taken the test on 27th Jan, and scored 76%. Not a good Score!!
Well, the exam is not too tough and not too easy. Questions are very good. For some questions the options given are so close that you need to think before selelectiong options. The finest part of the exam is that the answers to be selected are indicated with each and every questions. You can eliminate some options and select the most suitable options. One need to be good at fundamentals and concepts.
I've not prepared properly for the exam. I could not devote my time fully as I am working and have tight schedules. I am not working on Java now but am into Analysis. I have domain experience in finance and accounts and changed the profession 6 months ago.
As for as the books Khalid A Moghul is the best book. He covers topic by topic with very good examples. I got this book in the last week and could give a single reading. It was of great help. You can Own this book, it helps you beyond the certification..
Ofcourse, I did many a mock exam..
Although, you are good at all the concepts, catching the right point in the code given is very important in the exam. I missed few in this manner as I did not practice to the desired level.
From my experince I can suggest:
-- Practice properly covering all possible situations of a Given
problem.
-- Buy & Read Khalid A Moghul..( If one reading is not enough
dont hesitate a second reading).
-- Take as many Mocks as possible, but don't try to memorize
the question, Change the code and see the results.
-- Be cool while taking the test.
My best wishes for all who are going to take the test.
