I am a passive member of this Great site for the last 1 year... Gave my exam on 2nd April after 1 month of serious preparation & scored 72%..
I studied from RHE (mainly) & KM, I found KM to be much more descriptive than RHE, so I had to give much more efforts on KM... But when the exam was near I started to give JQ+ tests, I feel it's the mock exam's which made the difference...
I could get my weak point's & tried to fill the gaps...
My advice to the future wannabe's that JQ+ mock's are much more difficult than the actual exam so if y don't get high score in it the don't get discouraged... But Markus Green mocks are quite similar in difficulty level to the actual exam.
The main Exam is quite straight forward & most important they don't see how much y can mug up, they check ur understanding of the subject, but having said that I must admit that there were few tough questions also (in my case, I got few of them in AWT & Threads).
So Best of Luck, to all those who are going to appear for SCJP ...

I think it's Important to mention that the Method used by me & Siddarth may be diffrent but Ultimately lead to the same Goal that is to get an Exam Voucher for the JCP Exam.
Now it depends on u people that what suites u more but one thing is sure both methods can be used.

What I could get is that nearly everyone has suffered at the hands of Globsys in Cal. so I would like to share something which I had done...
When i saw that Globsyn is constantly making false promises than I took the help of my friends in Pune, B'bay, Delhi, B'lore & H'bad. Surprisingly everybody said that Coupons are easily available in those cities except H'bad where all the Coupons & Slots for the Exam are Booked... and consequently Voucher's are been sold at a premium prise of 1.5 times the original amount. But in Pune, B'bay, Delhi, B'lore Vouchers r easily available. So I would request all of u to contact ur Friends or Relatives in these cities & tell them to Apply for a Voucher in your name.
Mind u all u need is 1-2 Passport size Snaps & Address proof (e.g Bank Statement, Ration Card, Passport, Driving license, Voter ID card) ALL XEROX COPIES ONLY. And ofcourse the Money which U can send by any means u like, I would also like to add a point here that the Voucher cost also varies from City to City(e.g it's 6975/- in Pune & 7300/- in Delhi & H'bad) so don't worry if the cost varies....
So ur friend or relative can apply at the concerned city under ur name...After they apply they still have to wait for 10 to 15 days before they get the Voucher in Hand ....After that they can send u the Voucher by Speed Post or Courier...
Now all u have to do is go to any Prometric center in Calcutta & Book for a time slot for the Exam....
As far as I know U can go to any Authorised Prometric center in Cal. & give the Exam.. All u have to do is to give 1 Week notice before sitting for the Real Thing !!!
And then all depends on ur Hard Work & Ofcourse Luck !!!
I hope this solves many of ur worries a'ut getting the SCJP Vouchers...

Pls. tell me where are U situated ?? The resources u are using for SCJP preparation are Enought to clear the Exam.
It would be good if u have SCJP with Oracle D2K experience.
I know (Both Job & Stock) markets are Down now but don't worry it will recover, it's a temporary phase. And it's the Best time to enhance your skills.

Actually Globsyn always keep's on saying that they will get the Coupons next week but that next week never comes.
So I was forced to go for Other Option's.
Now if u r working abroad than it would be better if u get SCJP voucher from that Country or City only cause here in Cal. it would be a Problem.
I had to request my Friend in Pune who applied for a Voucher in my name. Infact u can buy a Voucher from anywhere in the world & than sit for the Exam anywhere in the World. Voucher is valid for 1 Year, so better get a Voucher for u soon.

I have started praparation for SCJP & would like to sit for the Exam in May first week. The first hurdle I faced towards SCJP was the Voucher. I had to get it from Pune (Just applied today). Globsyn kept on making false promises & couldn't deliver. Tell me something a'ut yourself, myself working as a WebAdministrator in a Financial Company & have experience in Application server.

I am also facing the same Problem. But I think there is no point running after Globsyn, I don't think they will be able to help. I decided to get the Exam Voucher from Pune. It's also available in Mumbai & H'bad. So If U have any friend then just request him to get one for you.
