Hi I am a fresh grad, I have the opportunity to start my career in J2ME.
To be honest i am more interested in J2EE.

Would gaining experience in J2ME help me to enter for a J2EE role?

Thanks in advance!

I am so upset after achieving a Masters degree and gaining some work experience, I still cant get a job. Not even a crappy Helpdesk support position.

I.T makes me cry, sad, and has wasted my life.

I pray for a miracle.

"Second, development always gets "easier." Each decade the tools get more advanced, moving the role of those writing "code" further from the hardware/OS and closer to the business."

I think what you are refering to is MDA, which is still in its infancy.
By the way SE tools are always advancing due to the fact that software engineering in general is becoming more amd more complex.

COMPLEXITY.

Tools will never be enough for the job. In my opinion it is never good to rely on a vendor specific tool, all organsiations have different requirements anyway, so even if you master one, it may not be used where you are going!

In my early days b4 I have even started to work, i have asked myself the question, everyone is out to exploit you. No one gives a dam about you, just thinking of their own interests???

Do you agree?

Hi there everyone,

I am a B.Sc. Computer Science and M.S.c Software Engineering graduate.
of 2:1 caliber. I have average A level results(B,C), and 8 GCSEs grade A-C

I have three months experience in software development (Java). I have attended two interviews in the last 2 months for software engineering positions (Visual Basic 6.0 & C++), but nothing has come out of it. I have probably applied to around 60 jobs during this period.

Is this a positive response, should I be grateful to of even got those interviews? I have started to feel as if i am wasting my time.

Honest feedback apreciated, especially from people in the UK. By the way, I am nearly 23.

Do I have a bright future ahead of me? I have started to feel sad

Thanks in advance
