Hi PRAVEEN
I felt the objective for Test 257 was bit redundant for me. So I dropped off the plan.
Coming to your exam, I m not sure about 255 objectives, but it looks quite similar. You can start with IBM Red books and practice with RAD.
If you have fairly good exp/knowledge on J2EE, I guess this exam should be pretty straight forward for you.
But I would recommend for you to consider Test 257, it focuses more on EJB's and other relatively advanced topic. You can also find excellent notes by Mikalai Zaikin here

Good luck and best wishes
Jerry
You could visit NIIT - Prometric testing center, nugamabakkam, Chennai.
They will help you.
Hello,

I m intend to take up Test 257: Enterprise Application Development with IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software V6.0.

How much value it is in the market/industry.
Any thoughts

Hi Rick,

Well It was too late.. I had registered and attended the training.
The training was good(However I'm not convinced to recommend anyone).
It assumes that you are very comfortable with all J2ee tech. It trains you how to apply J2ee using weblogic.

Hi All,
I jus passed scbcd 87%, many thanx to all rancher's,in aiding and motivating me in this exam.
Thanks a lot to Head First..., more than the certificaion this Head First gave me a much deeper understanding of EJB concept, I was surprised, I was not aware of certain concept even after a year EJB programming... many thanks again to the author's.
Many thanks MZ notes.

Can I expect a Head first for Web Services?

Hi All,

I 'm bit confused....
If a bean throws a Application Exception will the Transaction be committed before throwing the Application Exception to the client.

Any comments...

Hi All,
I jus took a mock test,
A client can determine whether two entity beans are same by comparing their primary key using equals method (true/false)
I responded true, but the correct ans was false.

any comments..

Hi all,

In HF page 559, Scenario Summary..
#Client calls remove() on a bean thats already removed.
I expected java.rmi.NoSuchObjectException(remote) (or)java.ejb.NoSuchObjectLocalException (local)
but it says RemoteException for (remote) and EJBException(local).

Any explanation...

Hi All,
I have a doubt, say I start a trsxn (tc1) in a BMT its not committed, i call a method of another bean with CMT with a trsxn (tb2), if I call setRollBackOnly() over in this method, while this method returns to my bmt method which is in trsxn tc1 and try to do a getStatus() will my trsxn be rolled back.
Ogi.. let me summarize, Can I rollback a BMT trsxn from CMT trsxn?
