Just wondering, it appears from the TOC that there is no mention of stored procedures. Is there and it just isn't mentioned? If not, how come? Stored procedures in many cases are a very good idea.
Thanks for the reply. What do you consider the basic Ajax concepts?
What level of user is it aimed at? Say I;ve done web development using HTML/ASP, with a little PHP tossed in from time to time, but hardly a JavaScript expert, would your book leave me scratching my head or if someone has some basic knowledge will they be okay?

Thanks
In regards to Ajax Frameworks, what are your thougths on Microsoft's framework? The reviews I've seen of it aren't bad, main downside people seem to have with it is that it is Microsoft.
Reading through the info on Amazon, it sounds like you don't cover the Google Web Toolkit. It seems like this would be a natural fit for your book, is there a reason it was excluded?

Thanks
Heck if they are quiet and don't want a copy, I'd be more then happy to take it off their hands.
Nevermnid, I found the appendix on the book's mini web site and it does cover installing under a Windows environment.

Configuring Your Working Environment teaches you how to install and configure the required software: Apache, PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin.

Does this include in a Windows environment too or only Linux? My two development boxes are scrictly Windows XP, with one of them running Personal IIS.

Thanks
Thanks for the replies, I'll keep brushing up on PHP for now then.
Would it make sense to to become more proficient with AJAX first and then dive into learning how to use AJAX and PHP together?

Thanks
