Hi All,

I am new to RMI. Just started developing a sample application using RMI over SSL. Server and client are on 2 different machines. Everything works fine when the client is invoked form the command line. But, when I use a servlet that inturn invokes the client, an exception is thrown when the servlet is accessed. I don't have the exception stacktrace now. But, will post it in some time. BTW, it works fine when I try invoking the client in a start up servlet (ServletContextListener class).

Could any of you please let me know if any special configurations need to made to invoke the clients from the servlets? Am I missing something basic here?

Please help me! I spent lot of time to solve the issue, but couldn't

Many thanks!!

Hi,

I do a hover on a label to display some info. The part of the form that has the label is refreshed by AJAX call whenever the user changes his selection in the dropdown that is there is in the same form.(included this sub page in the main page)

The issue is that the hover works fine when the page is loaded for the first time. But when the sub page is refreshed, the hover doesnt work. Is it something like the JS file that has the tooltip properties is not visible to the sub page, when refreshed by AJAX call?

Please help me out!

Thanks.
Can someone pls reply to this?

Thanks.

Hi,

I have an xml column in a table. One of the stored procedures need to update the value in the xml column by appending few more nodes at the end of the existing value.

E.g.

is giving the below error:
XQuery [modify()]: An expression was expected

Note: @newXML can be of xml type or of varchar.

Please help me out!

Thanks in advance.

Yeah. You can still do tht. Write an onclick event for the image and you can display the image or the checkbox accordingly in your script.
Hi,

We had a simialr req of tri state checkbox in our app and we had implemented the same using a checkbox image filled with light gray color.

Whenever you want to display the filled in checkbox, you can hide the actual checkbox and display the checkbox image.

Try it out.
Can anyone please tell me how can we disable/enable the html controls in struts 2.0. The state of the control should not be hard coded in the jsps rather the state is determined by some business logic on the server side.

Thanks.

What do you mean by memory pool here?

On a related note, the filter just works fine, if the operation of inserting/updating the audit info in the db is done synchronously(without using threads). But, I don't want to do this as this affects the actual app performance.

Hi,

I have 4 filters in my app in the order:
1. authentication filter
2. encoding filter
3. audit filter
4. compression filter

I have added the audit filter recently to record the statistics of the application in the db . Not to affect the stats of the actual app, I am inserting/updating the stats by running threads in the filter and from then the problem has started.

The app just hangs in cases where I perform some persist operations in the app. e.g. add a new user

In the above case, the user gets added succesfully but the app hangs after tht.
